Louisiana

If you’ve never heard of Webster Parish, that’s okay. It is a small town with a big heart in the middle of Louisiana. You will be partnering with Fuller Center for Housing.  Their mission is to assist people who cannot afford to live in decent housing any other way by repairing or building new homes. A Rural parish (county) of just over 41,000, this part of the Body of Christ has helped 33 families build or renovate houses…now working on the 34th house. This trip requires lots of sweat and hard work but it will all be worth it when you see the smile on the person’s face who receives that home.

Taylor University Louisiana Spring Break 2012 Missions Trip
Prayer Requests:

  • Knowing that our work will be primarily physical, that God gives us the ability to find rest, be flexible, and take the advantages of the opportunities to witness.
  • Safety throughout our trip.
  • That our attitudes and minds be always focused on His Kingdom with intentionality and open hearts.
  • That our ministry will not only be to the ones we are there to serve but  also to each other in unity, in fellowship, but above all in love.

I’m excited about your ministry. This is a hands-on, practical way to be a huge blessing to others. You could have chosen to go to the beach, but you chose instead to do physical labor to provide a decent home for others. I’ll be praying for your team, and for those in that community.
